Anyone having Resolution Problems with STL Files from SE

I am having some components rapid prototyped and saved the part files out to STL format. My sales rep from the prototyper called me and said that the part was very jagged shaped and the holes were hexagons instead of round. Sounds similar to the View Resolution issues in AutoCAD. Is there a way to check the STL file after saving to make sure that it appears as my Part drawing does?

I don't know of a way to check it, but in the save dialog, make sure you click OPTIONS before hitting save. Make the tolerance finer. Most STL machines can meet a .002 inch or better resolution, so adjust the SE settings accordingly. Too fine and the file size gets too big; too course, and you get results like you're explaining.
