I'm looking for any feedback from users of capacitive proximity probes (e.g. Vibrosystm 'PCS' models) regarding their claimed insensitivity to electrical runout & surface magnetism variations. Has anyone done any direct comparisons of eddy current (Bently) vs. capacitive transducers to determine if runout issues are significantly reduced? Other than a couple of OEM-related papers, I've have not been able to find any good data or user experiences.

Thanks,
Stan
