Any reference to use split sleeve repair by 3 split

Hi evry body;

After MFL piging in 36" old Gas pipeline, we find many corossin on outside of Pipeline. we made Split Sleeve by API 5LX65 th:0.409" and for 1 meter of sleeve by 2 split, must use 2 meter of pipe!
If you know any code or other reference that permit 3 split sleeve (means by 3 seam weld after wlding sleeve, please help me.
It is verey usefull for me.
