I'm looking to develop an axial flow pump impeller and there seems to be much more data available for fans (and airfoils relative to air) than axial flow pumps. Other than compressibility, they should be very similar, right?

Info from fans can be used for pump design. The pitfalls are the items that exist for pumps but not for fans. Like cavitation and minimum net positive suction head.
