Hi,

I'm trying to put together an enclosure concept and running into trouble with connectors. I need to use a panel mount bulkhead with mating connector, and the best option within my limitations is to work with 6-contact locking push-pull circular connectors. I need to keep the bulkhead flange under 15mm in diameter. They also need to be IP-68 rated and use crimp-termination on the cable end. Hirose and Fischer make some in the $5+ region which is getting out of my price range.

Just tossing the question out there in case someone has dealt with similar connectors. Thanks,

Seth

How many pins?

Brad Harrison (now part of Molex) has a complete line of IP68 / NEMA 6P connectors that are M12 (12mm) or M8 (8mm) standards.

Lemo make excellent miniature multipole connectors which meet your spec apart from the price. Very similar to the Fischer range. I don't think you'll get what you want at the price you're hoping to achieve, but if you can relax the size constraint a little Bulgin's 'Buccaneer' range is one of the cheapest IP68 connectors I have encountered. Ain't as pretty as a Lemo or Fischer type though. [wink]

Be aware, though... Lemos are great, but they are also notoriously difficult to get within a reasonable time period. It was a running joke at my last job, and we would typically only order a couple hundred of any one type. They might have an engineering sample or two, but it would take months for any real quantity to come in (again, I'm only talking a couple of hundred).

A year is reasonable... [wink]

I agree - we had the same problem with Lemo in Europe.
