I have a Contractor submitted drawing of hollow concrete slab with PVC pipes for approval. Sorry this is not common in our country, but, is the design the same as Hollow Concrete Block or the PVC pipe has a unique function? Does it act like composite structure? Also any good reference?

PVC deffinitely does not contribute to the capacity, tt's like a regular hollow core slab structurally. There is a good book by Kim S. Elliott - Precast concrete structures based on eurocode 2, you can look it up. There are a few examples for hollow core slabs.
