Hello Everyone,
I have a model that i want to setup in ANSYS Structural. The question is can i define different materials in the same model? I think it should be possible, but i am not sure about how it can be done. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Jimmy

Hi mechanicaljw,

When you create a material model, you have the option to add a new one (upper-left corner). So when you apply mesh properties you have the option of combining a certain element type, with a material model you desire, and other options.

Sorry if I am a bit vague, but I am writing out of memory. [ponder]

Best of luck!

Hi TibiX,
Thanks for your input. I am trying to do it now and i to sort something else out. My "simply supported" option under "Supports" in "ANSYS Static Structural" is not just active. Any idea what might be wrong?

Thanks!

Jimmy
