Hi all,
I am currently testing the magnetic field response of various coils to different magnitudes of current. I want to measure the magnetic field intensity at multiple distances from the centre of the coil. Intuitively I thought that a probe would be the most effective method, however it seems that unless the probe intersects the coil surface, I am unable to record measurements (I consider an error on their part). I would like to know if there is another way to use the probe or a different approach to recording the information I require.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Oh ye and below is a quick grab of my coil, showing the representing vectors for the magnetic field intensity.
