Ansys 15 Settings

I have recently started using ansys 15 workbench and I have a problem in that I can't assign frictional contacts to my geometry. I have never had this problem before and assume it is not a license problem but the settings need to be changed? My only guess is that some non-linearity setting is not turned on. Any ideas?
