ANSI vs. ASA Spline Tooth Profiles 1

I can't find a reference that details the differences between ASA B5.15-1950 and ANSI B92.1A-1970 tooth forms. I have to determine if these forms are interchangeable for splined hubs. So far, all I have been able to find is gear manufacturer part catalogs. They usually have two different part numbers for the different tooth forms. So this leads me to believe that there are some differences. I have tried to get the specifications themselves but have been unsuccessful.

Any information on how these tooth forms are developed or characterized would be greatly appreciated.

ANSI is similar to global stds in that the mating splines interact on the pitch line. The older standards like SAE allowed interference on the OD or ID depending on the style. I don't have ASA refs, so I can't confirm the style of interaction.
