ANSI/IEEE Short Circuit Calculation Method to Specify IEC Switchgears

Hi all,

I would like to request any comments, experience or IEEE transaction paper title which help explain how to apply short circuit calculations using ANSI/IEEE (symmetrical, Peak, asymmetrical RMS) in terms of applying them to specify or review IEC make and breaking short circuit current ratings.

The ANSI and IEC (60909) are different methodologies and we have an ANSI model but client want to consider IEC MV switchgears.

It's not straightforward. Conrad St. Pierre's book on Short Circuit Calculations goes through both methodologies. Best solution is to have analysis software that can do both duty calculations. Maybe this will help as a start:
