I am doing a reliability study for a gas compressor plant in Maracaibo Lake, Venezuela. The plant is 40 years old and is offshore and there are no plans of it so I don't know wich was the standard used on its manufacturing. The question is, what standards should I use to calculate the minimal thickness of pipes, ANSI B31.3 or ANSI B31.8 for gas pipelines and B31.4 for condensate even if the lines are inside the plant?

Hi John my email adress is fliaviloria@cantv.net. By the way I found the plans for this plant and I realize that was made under B31.3 Code of Design. Anyway if you want we to be in contact you have my personal email.
