I am tring to get an MDT model into SW06. I step it out of MDT and then open the step file in SW06. The model comes in scaled down 1/25.4. In other words, what was drawn as 1" in MDT comes in as 0.0393700787401575 blah blah blah.

It does not happen with all files.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Ken.

O.K. - My bad.

I found a setting in MDT for establishing scale of a step file.

Problem solved. It's an MDT issue.

This is why I am for only 1 CAD program in a company.
Happy you worked it out. Good luck.

The factor you are talking about is the difference between metric and english units. one inch = 25.4 mm. When you open the file in SW you should have an option for metric or english units. Choose the opposite one and I think it will be at the correct scale. You may also have an option when saving from MDT to chose the units?
