Hi,

Can anyone advise me on or direct me to a link that will give me the most common materials for angle iron? i.e mild steel 1018 etc

Thanks Sam

If this is new material you should be able to read a spec or grade number printed on it. You could then google that to get more specific info.

Thanks. I'm Using A36 angle steel which is a carbon mild steel. Probably the most common type of angle makes it cheap which is fine for me as I am just designing a Chassis Jig and all the angle iron restaints will be bolt on and therefore easily replacable. :)
