I have an angle seat 150x100x12 welded to a cast in plate in a tilt up panel.
Its supporting a roof beam pitched at 2 deg.
So I'm specifying that it can be bent to suit the roof pitch.
Now if its bent the metal yields, so is there a need to include a stiffener under the leg even though it doesn't need one if the leg was not bent?
 
When are you going to bend the angle iron, and how are you going to control the distortion of both legs when it bends?

If you do not pre-bend the angle-iron, how will you ensure "only" the leg bends, and that force does not distort or tear the weld holding the angle iron to the wall plate, nor the bolts (?) or embeds holding the plate to the concrete?
 
Better to fabricate a seat with plate. Bending an angle in this manner is a tough job, especially to a pitch as shallow as 2 degrees. But rather than doing either, it might be more practical to just set the angle to the correct pitch, and fill the gap with weld.
 
In most cases angle sections are not bent. If a less than or more than 90* angle is need a bent plate is used. The fillet of the angle material makes controlling the bend more difficult. If the actual supported load exceeds the bending capacity of the material, then a stiffener is required for reinforcement. However, if a seat connection is not orthogonal to the load, then a vertical and horizontal component of the force exists. This is not typically a seated connection condition.

The gap is about 3mm so it could be adjusted and welded as Hokkie66 suggests.
Also could use a tappered washer ?

I maybe seeing this wrong but is the 100 welded to the panel? If not is the 100 long enough to get rafter clearance to the panel, edge distance to the ub flange and edge distance to the the angle.

can you weld a spacer behind the vertical leg to pitch the angle?
 
Actually I was thinking of bending the nagle by heating and cooling.
Also if the angle is pitched at 2 degrees the gap at the bottom is about 5mm max, could this still be filled with weld or is the gap to big?
 
Is it too late to move the embed plate and try a single shear plate connection?
 
How about installing it at 90 degrees and adding a 2 degree sloping wedge piece to the outstanding leg?

Much like Hokie’s suggestion @ 11MAR13, 17:51, re: fabed plate seat; why not take a 8" long piece of an appropriate WT, and saw cut its stem to 2̊, punch the flg. as req’rd., and weld this to the embedded plate.
 
Dont like shear plate connection and not recommended in tilt panel joints Tend to pry the panel)
BA good idea and what was always on my head (see above).
