I have a follow up question relative to this thread:
thread507-500036

The very last statement by Agent666 reads, "It would of course be potentially easy to add some stirrups at the top of the column if they were coordinated with the drilled-in anchor positions, this could be designed as anchor reinforcement to ACI quite easily and replace the breakout mechanism parallel to edge with the anchor reinforcement capacity as per ACI."

So if I can locate the anchor bolts within 3" of the pedestal ties (#3 ties), I can use the ties for shear reinforcement via strut-and-tie modeling, similar to image below?
