Anchor Design for Foundations

Is there a place I can go to find
how to design the length and tail of
vertical anchors in a 10" wall by 36" footing
48 inches deep. I am trying to use
a number 4 'L' dowels at 36" with a 2.50
cover in my wall. I am also using 3
horizontal number 5 bars in my 36" footing.
Or can anybody help me?

I thouhgt someone else might have jumped in here, but since no one else has I'll point out the following:

1. The lenght of the dowel legs is a function of the development length needed for the dowel. Any reinforced concrete design book would have an example of this.

2. You can check the ACI 318-02 concrete design code for the formulas and specification of developement length.

3. If you have access to a copy of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) Manual, you will find information on typical designs.
