Analysis of Si in biomass via ICP-MS

Looking for some advice on Si analysis of biomass samples.

The results are showing to be lower than expected, with either looses due to poor on incomplete ashing. HF and microwave digestion, but suspected loss of Si as Silicon tetra fluoride loss during pressure release.

Others tested is HF and boric acid..

Any advice?
