I am in the process of updating piping standards for my company. What I am looking for is some type of cross referencing table that can be used to find similar materials in other countries. I am working with the following type of American standards that I am trying to cross reference:

ANSI B36.19
ASTM A312
ASME B16.3
ANSI B36.10
ASME B16.3
ASTM B-88
ASTM D1784
ASTM B241
ASTM A270

I am working with the following countries:

AFNOR (France)
PKN (Poland)
GOST-R (Russia)
ENGLAND (England)
SAC (China)
CSSN (China)
BIS (Bangalore)

Start with each of the standards of interest. For example, look at the title of ASTM A 312; Standard Specification for Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic
Stainless Steel Pipes. Search the agencies of interest using key words like cold work austenitic stainless steel pipe. You may get lucky.

Also, search for the materials listed in the standard such as UNS 38815. I just did and was shocked to see another copy of the ASTM specification show up on my other screen, next to the copy that I had on my hard drive. I was expecting to see manufacturers of the material listing the various codes that are associated with the UNS material reference. My copy of ASTM A 312 has the suffix -05a. The web site includes the previous verson, -04b at "
Still, use these search concepts with the specification of interest and the related contents to search the overseas organizations.

Try the UNS Book. If you look at, for example, S30400, you get the basic chemistry and to the right many ASNI, AST, JIS, SAE etc. Standards that use S30400 as the base chemistry/material.
