Aluminum sheet efficiency

I am trying to maximize the design of aluminum panels that are being cut out of sheets of aluminum composite material. The aluminum composite sheets are only available in three standard widths - 40", 49" or 62". Even though the material is available in custom lengths, most of the sheets would be 10',12', or 14' lengths.

Does anybody have access to an Excel spreadsheet that would allow me to enter the variables (number of panels, size of panels, aluminum composite sheet size) and get the most efficient use of the aluminum sheets?

If anybody could be of assistance, I would really appreciate the help.

Not a lot of help I'm afraid but what you need is a classical tiling algorithm of the type which keeps math majors busy writing PhD theses.
Perhaps you can look around at a few Math forums and ask there. Try the Mathsoft forum on this site.
