Hi,
For aluminum member designs to CSA S157-17, do your typical Alumicor and Kawneer curtain wall mullions constitute a deep rectangular solid or hollow section under section 11.3.1 when assessing lateral buckling of unrestrained beams? I ask as if I assume the general case (a), λ is higher and therefore reduces my member capacity.
