How to clean alternator winding.

1. Remove from vehicle.
2. Dunk or spray assembly with mild solvent rated for cleaning electric motors.
{ e.g. }
3. Blow dry.
3.5 Repeat 2 and 3 until visually clean.
4. Replace the brushes.
4.5 Disassemble, replace the bearings, reassemble.
5. Reinstall.

OR
Save time, mess, aggravation and waste disposal issues by R&Ring the alternator with a new/rebuilt one.

Yes, why do you want to clean it? At automotive voltages dirty winding are not a problem like on a high voltage machine.
