Alternatives for hydrotest as per ASME Section I

Hi all

Is there any code case or so explaining alternatives for hydrotest of components designed as per ASME Section I.
My idea is , if i perform any other kind of test/tests, can I waive off hydrotest

No, not a chance. For what I see you are supplying a large boiler. Dangerous stuff. The owners can wave hydrotest. ASME Code will not.

Under ASME I, you may not waive the hydrotest. If a repair to a Section I boiler, you may under NBIC.
