Can somebody please advise me if they know of an alternative product to RockValley Viscor 16B (as a gasoline replacement test fluid) that is available from a supplier in the UK?
Thanks and regards, Mike
I believe that Haltermann products (a Dow Chemical company) makes a gasoline replacement test fluid. We have used Haltermann for reference fuels, its certainly worth giving them a call to see if they can help you.
I checked out the Total lubricants USA website but unfortunately could not find the product called XE - 7140. I looked at every single one! (ref. their website below that lists all of their products in the US)
Is there a product name that precedes the product code XE - 7140?
I have also tried Total Lubricants UK as well (by coincidence I used to work for Total Lubricants in the UK and contacted an old colleague... but he also could not find this spec.). I know that the oil companies sometimes deliberately give products different names/codes for different selling markets!
In a previous thread you stated "For regular production work Rock Valley Viscor 16A and 16B are regularly used (there are other suppliers as well) for safety reasons."
Could you please advise the other suppliers as well?
My company is currently using the Rock Vally product but it's proving hugely expensive to ship over to the UK.
