May I know what is the typical stress value used in designing steam boiler?

Impossible to answer. Much like what is your favorite component on a boiler?

Based on the applicable design Codes in your location, you may find the allowable stress information for the material listed on the Codes for the steam boiler, for example ASME Section I or similar.
