Hi , I have hydrostatic tested an in-service pipeline (which has been in service for 3 years) to 60 bar. As per ASME B31.3 what should I set the maximum allowable operating pressure of the pipeline as? Can I set it as 60 bar or should it be lower by a factor? I am a newbie in this area and any help/ guidance will be highly useful to me.

Pipelines are not normally designed to 31.3

If it is 31.3, then your MOP would be 40 bar of you tested to 60.

Pipeline codes would be higher forensic in what is in the pipeline.
