Does anyone know where I might be able to find the official accident report into the Alexander Keilland disaster

All you need to do is Google search for tha above queston and you will get plenty of information.

yer I did that, didn't see any sign of the official report, or any mention come to that. Mind you it was a quick skim. Thanks

Some time ago, I also did some searching on the Alexander Kielland disaster (I assume you know "Keilland" as you spell it is not correct). I did not find a lot, and certainly not the official report. I assume the report is written in Norwegian language.

However, maybe following references are useful:

H. Petroski, "When Technology Fails", Gale Research Inc. 1994, pp 301-305.

"Weld Fractures Capsized Hotel Rig", Engineering News-Record, 1981, pp51.
