Anyone know what the ASTM equiv of AISI 1018 is?

What is the product, plate. tube, pipe?

It is for a 1" BAR so I'm pretty sure the ASTM equiv will be ASTM: 108, 29, 311 or 576...the AISI "spec" seem general and not sure if the need is for hot or cold finished.

The use is for a special NUT that accepts a steel stud to hold motorcycle handlebars to the fram. This NUT is welded into the handlebar ends and the handlebars are ASTM 513 type II steel

ASTM A 29 would be suitable for specifying the raw material (bar stock) to be used for subsequent manufacture of a fastener.

Cory
