AISC Steel Manual 1

Thinking about buying the latest AISC steel manual. I have been using 13th edition. Are they coming out with 16th edition? Is it safe to buy the 15th edition? I would rather wait if another one is coming.

There has been a public review cycle for the 2022 Specs, so there will be a new manual (16th) released along with that. I haven't seen a date yet, but the code of standard practice is already out, so sometime in 2023.

AISC was running a sale on 15th editions a month ago (presumably for this reason). Not sure if that's still active.

They do incremental changes but it doesnt really matter - at least in the US, for typical work at least, you are to design to the version that is adopted by your state building code which means the 2022 AISC likely won't be adopted until IBC 2024 or so.
