Hi,
Currently, I have a steel structure project that we modeled in Revit with the steel connections. The steel contractor received the permit drawings and our Revit model.
The contractor was happy about that because it reduced their time for a review and first estimate substantially.
I mentioned to them that I would like to review their 3D model in accordance with AISC guide "Model Review and Approval for Structural Steel".
However, so far I have only gotten a set of 103 separate PDFs.
What are your experiences with 3D model reviews and what is the best way to start the process.
(Detailer uses Tekla Structures; we do not have a license for this.)
Thank you,
Thomas
