Mar 13, 2017 #1 Ingenuity Structural May 17, 2001 2,347 US I have AISC ASD Manual 9th Edition (green book) and AISC LRFD Manual 2nd Edition (silver book). Now both ASD and LRFD of the Manual are combined into one edition. What edition was it first released into one combined edition - 13th?

Mar 13, 2017 #3 JAE Structural Jun 27, 2000 15,435 US Yes the 13th. There were ASD editions 1-9. There were LRFD editions 1-3 12 in all. The combined (next) edition was 13. The 10th, 11th, and 12th editions really didn't exist but AISC sort of implied that LRFD 1-3 was 10-12. Check out Eng-Tips Forum's Policies here: faq731-376 Upvote 0 Downvote

Mar 13, 2017 Thread starter #5 Ingenuity Structural May 17, 2001 2,347 US I am going to upgrade to the 14th Ed. Just noticed that my 2nd Ed. LRFD Manual has Iyy of many of the larger W sections (eg W36x231) incorrect - appears to have the Iyy of one flange only, so out by a factor of 2! Grrrr! Upvote 0 Downvote
