Air conditioning recharge

Just a quick question... do air conditioners need charged periodically to maintain proper cooling, or is charging only necessary if you have a leak?

Right....the only time you need to recharge is when you have a leak....fix the leal before recharging....A/C is, are a closed system...meaning that no gas should escape the circuit (system).
