Hi,
I have just completed year 12(last school year in AUS) in Sydney and would like to study aerospace engineering at university(UNSW). I am interested mainly in aircraft and that, this type of engineering is where my interest is. However, I am very hesistant on it because of job opportunity in Sydney as opposed to mechanical and civil engineering(which I would also like to do) as I have been warned of. I am unsure what to do, am I likely to get a job after graduating as an aerospace engineer? or am I better of doing civil or mechanical? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Aerospace in Australia is pretty niche. I suggest that you should look at the graduate employment rate, in aerospace, for the degree you are looking at. The orrible truth is that aerospace superpowers are a small part of engineering an aerospace project. That hot chick who did ME is designing the landing gear on the next shuttle, not an aerodynamicicicist.

Cheers
