Hi, currently a student looking to build my resume for mechanical engineering and need advise on what industry recognised courses would help. Also I am UK based.

what field do you want to work in ?

I think you'd be better off finding a high-quality internship for your resume building. I've seen plenty of students getting A's in classes and courses, and sucked at actual work.

ok, so Im actually a past student and am looking for an apprenticeship that are open around this time of year so I am looking for a course to take that will be recognised and respected so it fills my gap in my CV as I haven't been in full time study/work since last year.

The most important thing is to tailor your CV and cover letter for each job you apply for.
If you're not sure what you want to do, it can be a good idea to take some short, general courses to see what you like and what you're good at.
Try essential tools like CAD or any industry design software, Excel, Project, etc. If you're looking for something more up to date, try courses on AI.
