Advice needed: Is Project what I need

Hello everyone, Here is my what I was wanting to do, but I'm not sure if MS Project is what I'm needing. Basically I need to contact several different companies and I need to keep track of who and when I've contacted them and then I need to tack follow-up calls and correspondence which have time constraints. Also I need to track meetings once the phone process is finished. Can I do this with Project? If, not can someone point me in the right direction of a program that will assist me?
