Hi,

I am hoping someone could give me there opinion here....

I have 10 years experience in Mechanical QA/QC, Welding Inspection, Plant Inspection, NDT in the Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical industrys. I am wondering would it be worthwhile training and learning about commisioning, Qualification and Validation in the biopharma industry.

I have two science degrees in addition to my welding inspection/Plant inspection/NDT certifications.

I suppose I am wondering if adding CQV would help to advance my career or would it be a waste of time as this is generally handled by a different team.

Any advice is appreciated.

I'm taking a bit of a stab in the dark here, but these look like two quite different parts of an industry.

One is all the mechanical bits and pieces and physical tests, the CQV part looks much more like process issues and testing and validation of the product with a high level of purity / cleanliness. Hence your 10 yrs in the physical side of life I think would only be of marginal interest / benefit and you might need to start at a low level compared to your current roles / seniority.
