Is PTC planning on integrating the new Adobe U3D format for 3D
export? It sounds like the format will be like and eDrawing that
can be placed in a pdf document. Has anyone used the new
format?

Have they developed a format yet? I heard they were going to create a 3D jpeg file but its a year or two away from completion. I imagine once the format and related standards are set, PTC will have to hop aboard.

Adobe is releasing it Acrobat 7 this month, and they say it supports the U3D format. I hope they hop aboard. Sometimes I think they are too stubborn andconceited to think they have to go with the flow.

After searching a bit further, found out righthemisphere.com has translators for CAD to U3D and other formats. The one for Granite costs $995 although there is a demo.
