I'd like to mesh a tube with shell43 elements in Ansys and export this part to ADAMS(a Multibody-System-Software). My Problem is how to find the adequate shell-thickness(real constant),so that the part's volume can be properly calculated and exported.
I tested this with several real constants until I had nearly the right volume in ADAMS. However I guess there is some guidelines to find the right element thickness.
I'd be really grateful if anyone out there could give me an idea about this.
