Hi Friends,

I like to add a horizontal dimension line to a center - oriented Diameter text. In the attachments the ADDITIONAL_LINE.JPG shows the original what I like to copy. The MISSING_ADDITIONAL_LINE.JPG is the situation I have to handle with.

How works it to add a horizontal line for the text? See attachements

Thanks
Bogdan

There is only one image.

What version of NX are you running.

I suspect that you want the text to be horizontal and the leader to have a 'stub'. If so, change the dimension text to horizontal (the same way as in thread561-364828). Then you can edit the dimension style stub length if necessary.

If you want to include them as attachments you're limited to one file at a time. When I have a need to include more than one file, I always zip them up and upload the .zip file. Of course, you can always upload them to the Engineering.com site and then just copy the links as entries in your reply, as I've done here:

As for your original issue, you just need to change the style of the Dimension, as suggested by cowski.

Thanks so far, I have Version #8.0, I try first the way of cowski.

Cowski thanks to help but it doesn't work. Attached is a file with the closest solution.

Is there maybe something in the big menu with the right Mouse button? If yes please attach a image with arrows and circles and so on. Thanks

And what's wrong with that?

5 Bottles Champagne for Jerry1423. The difference: In my version (8.0) is the name of the field "Dimension Style", not "Annotion Style" like in jerries capture. But it works.

Is it possible to move the text + line to the right side?

Great Thx

Bogdan1985,
Have you considered a basic NX training class??

To switch the direction of the 'stub' just select the dimension, press MB3 and select 'Style'. On the 'Line/Arrow' tab just select the icon indicated below and you have your choice as to which way to show it:

@ John Baker Thank you very much!!!!

@Cowski I had a class but most of the time I work with CATIA. And this issue was not a part of the class. I have a friend he works with NX and even he didn't know the solution.

I know that the solution of my problems often are very primitive for you all but the book "NX8.5 for Designers" and the internet support "igetit" have less contents.

So I am happy to ask you all. I made meanwhile around 200 parts but all of the sudden comes an obstacle and I ask my self "what the hell is this??" Like the problem with the full screen. The design (Modeling, Surface) works fluently, the drawings with the GD&T-Stuff still not so well.

Thanks again!!
