I am trying to work with wire sections and ran into this issue.
-"wire regions are not allowed for remeshing rules"
Are there any workarounds to this? I could make them a solid elements but then I would spend a lot of time in building the mesh and other unknown errors.

I'm afraid that it's not possible to bypass this limitation. Adaptive remeshing supports only plane stress/strain, shell and solid (tetra) elements.
