ADAMS Motion Profile

Hi All,

I want to apply an S-curve motion profile to a pulley in ADAMS.The desired profile is attached here. The max velocity during the motion is 42 rad/sec and the time to reach the max is 0.36 seconda. If someone has any idea on how to generate it, please share it with me.

Thanks for the response.
In order to achieve the max velocity of 42 rad/sec in 0.36 seconds, I used this function before "Step5(time,0,0,0.36,42)", but the angular acceleration that I got from this case was 2 times the one that I calculated theoritically. I have never used motion function before, so can you help me in writing the general function. I will be very thankful.

Sorry to bother you once again.
As you suggested, I was able to create a spline from the machine data but sometimes when you want to do a different motion test then you do not have the desired motion curve/data. Can you please explain how can I use function bulder to create such type of motion.

Typically you use STEP or IF and split the motion into time segments. But that is ugly, I prefer to set the motion up in a spreadsheet and then cut and paste that into a spline. Then it is easy to visualise and fine tune it. I should warn you, I used to do a lot of direct manipulation of text files, the GUI is a good start but not sufficient.
