Hello,

I need to join CFC to metal. Does anybody know a brazing-alloy I can use?

Thanks for all your answers!

CFC = carbon fiber composite, chloro-floro-carbon, ???

What specific materials are you trying to join?

Hello Gentlemen,

thanks you for your replys. I'm trying to join carbon fiber composites with metal...please excuse that I didn't write that clearly.

What may be important too, is that the CFC-part will be used in high temperatures (>1000°C)...

So what matrix material do you plan to use in the composite? tianium? inconel? ceramic? what metal are you joining to? 1000C is very hot!

the matrix material will be carbon, the metal will inconel...what I want to know, is which brazing alloys I can use to wet the C/C...

Why do you want to have a liquid metal contact your composite? Why not use a liquid polymeric adhesive?

Regards,

Cory

because of the high temperatures the compound will be used in...
