Hi Ingenuity;
Yes I have used Pure Technology's Soundprint and have had their system in place on one building now for 15 years. But for a current parking structure where we have recommended that this system be installed, the client is insisting on more than one quote even though we have told him a year ago that to the best of our knowledge there is no other company with the same or equivalent technology that can automatically and continuously monitor every tendon in every beam in every storey of the garage. The building is a 4-storey garage with unbonded post-tensioned concrete beams and post tensioned concrete girders in both directions. The client has asked us to to once more look into this. Although there are automated concrete strain monitorin systems, such as OSMOS, this does not monitor the tendons directly, but only indirectly by monitoring the concrete strain and we are doubtful that is good enough or that it would be cost effective to install it on every post-tensioned beam and girder in this structure. We are fully conversant with the Pure Technologies' Soundprint system, but any further information on any other systems that might be around and do similar monitoring would be helpful.
