Hi Folks,

I'm trying to perform an acoustic fatigue analysis of a composite panel in a thermal environment. Can anyone advise on a good starting point. I have previously only analysed metallic structures for acoustic fatigue without consideration of thermal effects. What should I be looking out for?

Analysis or test? I think the analysis is very difficult, so everyone does it through testing.

Hi MickeyP, thanks for picking this up so fast!!

I am trying to come up with an analysis but it will most likely end up being tested too. It's an engine nacelle structure and has to be certified to FAA requirements which at best means analysis substantiated through test. The benefit of an analysis will hopefully reduce testing scope.
