I purchased a used ACDC EL-300 Electronic Load to do some testing on a converter. I was a little surprised it didn't have a switch to operate in either constant current or voltage. It works, but from my limited testing acts more like a resistor. There is a 10 pin jumper plug in the back that may enable a constant voltage or current function. Anyone have any information on this unit or plug wiring? I've searched the net and haven't found anything.

The problem with manuals is that they are more expensive than the units themselves. I would have thought that someone here was using one of these. An amplified zener that can sink 60+ amps sounds pretty dangerous for most power supply testing, but that is what I need. I have a spare unit that is less than prime that I will cut some traces on and modify for this function. Also need to supply internal 100ma power to hold up the voltage when not connected to a source. Thanks for your efforts.
