Hello,

Which is the typical grit material that will be used for Pressure Vessels and piping surface preparation purposes? and what requirements from the factory/suppliers to provide when ordering the abrasive materials?

Additionally, do you think that Nastra Copper Slag is a suitable blasting material?

Thanks and regards,

Usualy in open spaces sand blasting for painting purposes is the usual material, sand shall free of clorides. Copper slag is also used but you have to think of if contamination by the copper grains, can be prenicious.

Thank you Luis

I reckon blasting by sand doesn't often give the required roughness.

But what effects of Cu slag on steel substrates?
