i would like to have an informations about the materials
which are use in formworks or molds building.
i mean other than standard steel or wood.
thank u very much..

Excluding the subject of void formers, there are two areas which I have worked with: (a) GRP formwork and (b) Controlled permeability formwork. GRP formwork can give you a wide variety of finishes. One example was a rock climbing wall. A timber model of the wall was coated in GRP. The mould was struck leaving a "rock like" mould for forming a concrete wall. With careful handling GRP formwork provides many reuses. My experience of controlled permeability formwork is with a product called ZEMDRAIN and it is manufactured by DuPont. This is a fibre with microscopic pores (rather like a fine tea bag). It is designed to resist concrete pressure and allows any water migrating to the surface to pass through the formwork. This helps to reduce the pressure build up on the formwork and results in a more dense and regular surface finish than with conventional formwork. The formwork consists of a timber frame over which the zemdrain is stretched and stapled. The zemdrain formwork can be reused but my experience is that after 2 uses the pores quickly clog up and the effect of the material is lost. I would advise that you look in a modern textbook on formwork for the latest techniques or in magazines produced by the concrete industry bodies.
Your question is a bit vague. Are you talking about "form-liners", Gluelam beams, fiberglass forms, or types of formwork for supported slabs/beams/columns/walls, etc?
