Hi
I am using ABAQUS to simulate undrained triaxial test (strain/displacement control)on soils.
I do not know if using two steps only : GEOSTATIC step followed by SOIL (consolidation) step which spans over short time (say 1 sec) and at which the prescribed displacemnet is applaied is sufficient. Should one use thress steps (GEOSTATIC , STATIC[where the prescribed displacement is applied] folowed by CONSOLIDATION).
