I'm modelling the wind turbine foundation but in material properties I'm using only modulus of elasticity and Poisson ratio of concrete.
As it is an elastic model, the calculation results is overly optimistic?
Do I need to consider the plastic properties or If I'm going with the elastic properties is it wrong?
According to me if I'm going with elastic properties so I'm over estimating as concrete will fail at its ultimate load but I'm considering upto yielding limit only.
Please guide and give detailed explanation .
