Is this a typo? AASHTO LRFD 2004 Equations 5.13.2.5.4-1, 4-2 & 4-3 give the nominal punching shear strength as 0.125*sqrt of f'c*shear area. ACI and other references I use have always allowed punching shear to be 4*sqrt of f'c*shear area. AASHTO is different from ACI by a factor of 32. Has anyone else run across this?
